Overview

I led product design on Bolt, the Züs crypto wallet app. The app needed an update to align with an economic upgrade to the Züs blockchain. The primary assignment was to integrate two new features — "staking" and "bridging" features — into the user flow of our original wallet design.

Objective

The process began with a UX strategy, formed through benchmarking and close collaboration with engineering and two other visual designers. Overall, we needed to improve the usability of the app while ensuring all features from the previous designs were integrated.

Outcome

The update ended up becoming a complete overhaul, featuring an iOS/Android wallet, a brand new desktop version, and several other new features. User tests affirmed a more intuitive experience than the original, and the staking feature updates to align with the new economic model were also well received.

The revamped Bolt, now in live beta, is the primary application for staking, spending, and storing value on the Züs network.
